Default SABR or similar research into Gehrig and Ruth swapping lineup positions?

I picked up a stack of 1970s-80s SABR books last week from a dealer who mused that Ruth and Gehrig batted consecutively for so long that it should be possible to analyze how different their career numbers would be if you swapped them for a similar length of time. (He assumed Gehrig's numbers would benefit from Ruth standing next in line.)

Stathead's tool for head-to-head comps does total stats: https://stathead.com/baseball/vs/lou...g-vs-babe-ruth

Anyone seen a researcher take on what changing their long-term lineup order would mean, apart from (we can assume) their #3 and #4 jersey numbers, since those were Ruth and Lou's familiar lineup spots?
