Default HR Derby

Anyone been to one? What is your take? I went at the old Yankee Stadium in 2008. I remember Josh Hamilton hitting moon shots and the fans cheering him on. He was so tired that he lost the Derby to Justin Morneau.

He did the same tonight! 497 feet!

Frazier's in tough, he needs to hit 21 to beat Stanton for the Crown.

Frazier with 13. Stanton wins.

2 questionable H/R's. Kid(s) in outfield may have taken 2 away from Frazier?

Giancarlo Stanton wasted no time to unleash an incredible display of power during Monday’s Home Run Derby in San Diego. In the first round, Stanton crushed 24 home runs on 30 swings. He’d go on to hit 61 home runs through three rounds en route to the win over Todd Frazier.

Who has time for cable when they're on Net54 24/7?

Cable is included in my rent but the only time I use it is to scare off my superstitious local native population.

I think Joe is pretty good.

But, I'm really impressed with Jessica Mendoza! She really knows the game - Refreshing to see.

I had almost given up on female announcers or analysts since that woman was assigned to a certain number of SEC football games. TERRIBLE!

imo joe buck is fine...he tends to err on the understated side of announcing, which i enjoy more than the over-the-top scream your lung out announcing style.

one thing that irks me is with all the analytics and game data available now some analysts would go overboard with quoting data and statcasts etc. hey you're the color guy, keep it light tell some anecdotes about what's going on with the players. i have google if i wanna dive deep into the stats i can do it on my own time, when i'm on the couch i just wanna be entertained...don't need you to regurgitate what the intern has been doing an hour before game time.

We got to go this year. It was awesome. For my money, no one does All Star like baseball. It has been a wonderful time.
