Default Kind of OT: Funny Keeler reference in Finance

Thought I would share this. I figured with the somber mood of 9/11, this may get a few people to chuckle. I found it funny, but I'm sure some people won't appreciate it as much as I did.

I was reading a finance paper today, and after reading a few paragraphs I came across a pretty nice surprise in one of the sections. Usually vintage baseball references are scarce in our nonsports world, but I found a really cool quote in one of the paragraphs.

"Blah blah blah finance blah blah blah money blah blah blah jobs..... best advice is to invest where other people aren't investing.... As Wee Willie Keeler, baseball HOFer once said, 'i hit em where they ain't'".

I give credit to whoever wrote the report. I was completely shocked that people outside our universe even knew about Keeler, let alone use it as investment advice. And if anyone had "seeing a Willie Keeler quote in modern culture" on their bucket list, please cross it off

I can relate a funny story with a vintage reference. I used to work off of a road called Jack Martin Blvd, named after the player for the Yankees in 1912 and Phillies/Miracle Braves in 1914. A delivery truck driver was at the place trying to tell his boss where he was(lost) and he looked at the street sign and told him "I'm on Jack Martin Luther King Blvd"...Needless to say, I did not correct him
