Default A little art experiment

As a lead in to a project, I decided to experiment and see if I could T206ify a T210 image. My wifes relative is on one and I thought I'd do a T206 style art piece, but need practice as I haven't touched watercolors in decades.

I think it came out ok in some areas, less so in others. The one I had a good image from was too dark. And the colors, especially the pink U tried on the face were much more opaque than I'd expected. The acid free cardstock was also very much the wrong paper... it wrinkled up a lot.

Default Fridge time!

Love the watercolor, it's my go to medium as well. That said I dabble in laser cut wood, and figured with the love of the 1949 Leaf Set that I have, I thought I would do a series of "alternates", utilizing old photos and halftone effects. Pretty excited with how they turned out. I displayed them at a local show recently, no bites, but I was more than happy to bring them back and put them up in the man cave!

It will be after a bit more practice and finding the right sort of paper.
I happened to have a really good scan of the Lipe card I have that would print well so he's the one I experimented with.

The actual player is Blackstone. I have a T210, and sort of keep looking for his other card, a T209 and maybe a team photo from either year he played. Fortunately for us, He started the year after Joe Jackson left. No, he wasn't his replacement, he played a different position.
