Default Most outdated player images?

It's not unusual for a card to have a pic of a player in an old uniform, but how old is ridiculous? This card of Germany Schaefer is from 1916 when he was with the Yankees, but shows him in his Detroit uni. He was traded from Detroit to Washington before the 1910 season, so the pic is probably 7 or more years out of date. Other than tribute cards, what other cards have such outdated pictures?

(Sorry the image is so small. It's an M101-5.)

Bill

One of my favorite cards is the 1953 Bowman Enos Slaughter. The patch on his sleeve dates back to the early 40s ... the image of Pee Wee Reeese in the same set dates back to at least the late 40s — I've variations of it in magazines from that period. The picture on a late 20s exhibit of Jimmy Wilson ends up on his 1934-36 Diamond Star.

if memory serves, that Schaeffer photo dates back to at least 1907, based on the "D" seen on the uniform. Also, Clark Griffith is shown wearing a Yankees uniform in the m101-4 set, 9 years after he last played (5 games) for them.

Chris, you're right about that Slaughter--I've always liked that shot too, but it's 11 years old for cryin out loud.

Many or most of the 1927-28 era ice cream cards depicted old and recycled photos as well, which is why some (or maybe just me ) are not overly interested in them.

In 1970s football they used the same image over and over.

Dear Abby's picture was badly outdated too.

Many of the pictures in the m116 set were used in the e107 set and many of the pictures were taken years before that.

I like to sit outside, drink beer and yell at people. If I did this at home, I would be arrested. So, I go to baseball games and fit right in.

Here is a honorable mention:

George Sisler's 1915 M101-5 card and 1927 E126 cards are the same image.

I beleive the T206 image of Honus Wagner was shot at least a few years before 1909.
