I'm sure this has been done in the past but it has been awhile. My favorite Cy Young is posted below and although it is my favorite, if I see one I like better I may part with mine and try to hunt down another. Another I like is the M116 Sporting News or Sporting Life (cant remember since I havent seen one in awhile).

when in doubt, keep it!

Since Anthony posted his E90-1 Young with the (Boston) variation
thought it was only appropriate to show the (Cleveland) variation
as well. Two terrific looking cards.

It is irrelevant whether Bobby owns the Just So.

Had the original poster wanted to limit responses to those Young cards in one's collection he could have done so merely by adding "that you own" to his message title.

Thank you Bobby for posting the Just So. I suspect that the owner probably would not have posted it.

So by posting it Bobby gives us an opportunity to see one very nice card.

doesnt matter whether you own it or not but i think that the JUST SO Cy Young is a very close 2nd on my list, price is keeping it from being #1.

someone in a recent thread mentioned about collection just one player (mathewson i believe) and i thought what a collection of cy young cards would be to have.

Athough it isn't a card, I love the image on the Cameo Pepsin Pin. Only other item of Young produced prior to 1900 (The other obviously being the Just So).

I can't say it's my favorite, with that purple E94 staring me in the face (not to mention the Just So), but it is still nice:

Did anyone notice that the photograph is identical (w/ the exception of the "Cleveland" being removed) b/w the 1902 W600 Cabinet and the 1893 Just So Cabinet? He has the fantastic 'stash in both with the dorky collared shirt...notice that this pic is the same only for the 1902 W600 (w/ Boston) and not the Cleveland W600 where the 'stash is noticeably missing and the image is identical to the T206 portrait...just an observation!

It is a cabinet. It is made around 1890. It came from Lew Lipset's personal collection. I know of one other Cabinet like this which is owned from a board member we all know... Here is back of Cabinet

Very interesting Young cabinet cards. Any other teammates cabinet cards issued by the same photography studios known to exist?

Regardless of ownership or not, regardless of value or not - my favorite 2 Cy Young's:

The Pepsin Pin, Cy Young - gorgeous. Would love to own this piece.
The elegant in green T206 Cy Young, portrait.

Hands down, the 2 favorites based strictly on eye appeal alone, to me.

Nice thread, steve

edited to add - Rhett, do you have a price for your pin?

Phil,

I have seen one other player in the cabinet version I have of Young, but I don't remember who it was.

Why is the "S" backward in "Boston" on Cy Young's uniform in the D304?
