I saw that 52 mantle is in a KSA holder. Are they a new company?

They have a 1919 Eddie Cicotte payroll check also signed by Comiskey. Nice!

Here's an interesting one. The lefty webless Reach glove. No doubt a high quality glove. It displays the diverted seam patent of 1908 at the base of the fingers. Also the cloth patch shows the "reg. U.S. pat. off." initiated post 1905. And that little leather fragment on the forefinger stall. A little perusal of a 1908 Reach catalog.

What do you make of the little leather fragment? I saw that 2 days ago, and could not resolve in my mind, what it could be (other than a remnant of a web that had been cut). Lelands clearly says that the glove never had a web (which would make it a more true workman’s Glove). But they don’t provide a close up photo from the correct angle, to discern what’s going on there.

I also see a hint of a seam on the inner thumb. Would be much better if the glove had no seams on the inner sides of the thumb and forefinger. Anyone who’s interested should request a close-up picture of this area.

To Lelands' credit, they have put an accurate addendum on the description for this glove.

I did not contact them, but perhaps someone here did?

There is no way you're going to convince me that that's a fingerless glove

No
They are older and canadian.
Also "pay for your grade" rumors. Not sure about authenticity but def. wouldn't xare about the frade they assigned.
Things might have changed, but i doubt it.

Rickey Henderson is an all-time great. I think the winner of the SGC 10 got a pretty good deal.

That's for sure! I bought over 2,000 cards from them last night. Can't wait for that box to show up!

Jeff...

I'll chime in... That's about as iconic a photo as there is, and I thought it would go higher. Perhaps the vintage replacement Horner Mount kept the price down a bit?

What were your thoughts?

Thought it should have been priced about the same as the loose photos that have turned up, so thought it was a little high but reasonable.

Fun auction overall, very diverse offerings.
