Default Opinions on this Ruth

Looking for some opinions on this Babe Ruth ball. The ball has no markings or stamps on it that I can see. The autograph looks to be dated 1948, the year he died.

Thank you
Eric

The "Babe" shouts no. Don't like the B or the A and the way they meet is just too atypical. Stay away.

I am always a little suspicious of Babe Ruth autographs from 1947-1948. His health was questionable, and I do not know his signing habits from those 2 years enough to be confident.

This is definitely a ghost signed Ruth signature.

It is a well-known ghost, quite common from this period. In fact, there used to be on display at the HoF, mounted in a beautiful silver stand, labeled Babe Ruth's last signed ball. It bore this same ghost-signed variant.
