Those balls look like they were made long after the player's deaths. I don't like the signatures either, but the item the signatures are on can sometimes be an easier thing to spot.

^^^^^this, what commissioner's facsimile sigs are on those balls (I have seen a few pre-war star sigs on modern balls, it's like the fakers don't even give a damn!)
