Default Does this happen sometimes from the grading companies ?

Posted By: Alan

In this item (ignore WHAT he's selling), the seller submitted the card to PSA and they wrote "No Spec Info"..."Refund"..."Do not Grade".

http://cgi.ebay.com/1895-JESUS-CHRIST-ROOKIE-CARD-TRIED-PSA-JUST-9-99_W0QQitemZ8802116409QQcategoryZ55917QQrdZ1QQcmdZ ViewItem

Does this happen often that the grading companies put this sort of info on the label ?

Thanks.

Sorry, couldn't ignore what he is selling. I know that there was a thread discussing this very card recently. Christ on playing cards? Sacrilege? I hope that he is least the "King" card with the almighty himself pictured on the Ace. Who is the joker? Judas?

Back to your question. All the reputable grading companies will slab only certain documented issues with few exceptions. This obviously did not qualify as one of the exceptions.

That can't be his rookie card. Didn't Jesus play for the Apostles back in 33AD?

We can only imagine what he could do, if he batted fourth in the lineup....But alas, the Twins could never afford him. Obviously, he would be playing for the Angel's anyway.

There were no contemporaneously made cards of Jesus. (Gutenberg wouldn't be born for another 1400 years.)

This is indeed Jesus' rookie card, albeit a posthumous card, just as Josh Gibsons' rookie is the Toleteros.

I would think he'd be on the "Padres" before the "Angels".

If he batted fourth and put up decent numbers, they'd accuse of using steroids.

I like to sit outside, drink beer and yell at people. If I did this at home, I would be arrested. So, I go to baseball games and fit right in.
