Default Naps vs. Pirates, 1913

Not that long ago the newspaper insert pictured below (not mine) was auctioned. It was printed in conjunction with an exhibition series played between the Cleveland Naps and Pittsburgh Pirates in 1913. I've never seen many items from what I have to think was a major event in the two cities, so I was excited this weekend to pick up the ticket stub below.

Nice finding that needle in a haystack. Do you know what the attendance was for that game?

Hi Clint,

I have not done any research on the series, though it has been on my list of things to do for some time. I'd like to find out how it came about and how well it was received.

Yeah that's what I like most about these kinds of items is the research. Looks like there were at least 3 games as your stub says game No3. I would bet they played equal amount of games in each city. Keep us posted on what you find out.
