Well after picking up this Ganzel PSA 7 as my 3rd pickup... I then picked up this Madden PSA 4!

I've decided to focus on a handful of players I've enjoyed reading about instead of simple commons. Turkey Mike Donlin is one of them:

Dan,
Yeah, I probably will have someone look at the McPhee card eventually. Needs to be rebacked, I guess. I have another card that needs to be extracted from a paperweight, and I'll maybe do this one at the same time. For now, I'm OK with how this displays, and I think that I have it protected from any further damage. Actually, I'm quite happy to have him! Take care.

Ken

Ken - you won the Cobby paperweight? It went very low assuming you can get the card out...

You've got to love those OJs which look like the image is sitting in the rear of a three dimensional shadow box. And you've got one with a good image!
Rebacking is far less difficult than it seems.

Spring Training photo of Ty Cobb and Eddie Collins in St Augustine circa 1927-28. Anyone recognize the guy in the middle?

Well, they're not exactly recent pickups, but they did arrive back from SGC just today. And they're among the first 1980s cards I've ever had graded. And best of all, they'll be cheap Christmas presents for a few unlucky friends and family members.

Nice cards by all.

What Rob...no autographs? No wonder you say "unlucky" friends.

This arrived in the mail today.

When you compare the earliest card to the latest card you can clearly see that Rob was on the Juice by 1989.

Very observant, Dan.

Back in the late '80s, Wichita was known as the Balco of the midwest.
