Default Help with value of Ty Cobb GU Bat

Friend owns store and some guy just walked in that inherited a collection from his father including this Ty Cobb gamer:

It is the exact same bat, however, he is wondering if the market overall has gone up or down since 2012. Any insight is appreciated. He has no interest in keeping, but doesn't want to give it away either.

I see there has been several discussions, it appears that the answer is that their is no precise conclusion if the bat was ever used by Cobb.
