I thought the T3's went really cheap - great pickup for those who collect them.

I was hoping for the T210 Stengel but the bidding got too high for me and I dropped out early.

I don't disagree, but I thought he started those T3s awful high. 10-12 ended with 3 bids or less.

I realize it's a compromise for an auction house to pick a starting point, but Bill seems to be leaning toward the high starting point.

How about the Chance Hindu selling for $4200+, nice looking card but that seems way over the top.

That's interesting, Phil. I thought the buyer got a great deal at that price.

Rob:

Compared to previous sales, that may be true. I guess I've been hoping for a "miracle" as I am waiting it out to pay around $5K for one in low-grade.

6's selling at $1,100-$1,300 when 3-4 years ago they were $3k-4K. Wow!

Default E103 went high

At one time I was thinking of collecting the e103 set. Recent post here even suggested the prices were down. Goodwin prices were well above what I would have expected.

Yeah, the E103 prices were pretty strong. I would've liked to have added the Bender or Collins but they went for more than what I was expecting. The commons did really well too. The Chase was probably the only one that did not do really well, but it was a bit washed out looking. Still better than mine, but I'm not ready to spend on upgrades yet.

Nice Kotton Bender, by the way. That was on my short list, but until Uncle Sam pays me back, I don't think I can swing that kind of card.

Yep! But in some cases, he had the starting bids the same on the PSA 1-PSA 3 as he did on the PSA 5s.

Certainly some deals to be had there.

Default Babe Ruth E220

I thought the Babe Ruth E220 National Caramel ($846) went pretty low considering it's relative scarcity. I guess there just aren't many collectors for these.

I picked up the E220 Ruth, the W512 Ruth, 1910 W-UNC Notebook and a couple of PSA6 33 Goudeys (56/109). I had a few items consigned for the auction, which received prices that I was happy with, and was close to the price of the items I won. In a way, it was like a net trade for me.

I picked up an E97 PSA 3 Kroh for about a third of what it was selling for just 2 years ago. Kroh is one of the tougher commons in the set. I had planned on picking up the T211s but when prices started stretching out late, I decided to save my money for the Legendary Auction.
Congrats to all who won lots, especially the E94 Wagner which has nice eye appeal despite the low grade.

I'm new to the board and want to thank everyone for all the incredible info. you've all contributed. I picked up the E94 Wags last night. Thought I may have overpaid a bit, but agree with tbob on the eye appeal being solid.

I was underbidder on the Proof, so I can definitely commiserate. Interestingly, I'm confident that there are actually two T206 Jacklitsch proofs out there, and the other one is nicer.

I do own a Bransfield T206 proof, and will be quite happy with that, given the price shown in Goodwin.

the Burgess Nash Oscar Dugey card. Got it for the "minimum" bid. Frankly, I simply never see this back -- and particularly not of any Philadelphia Phillies.

I picked up a couple of m101-4 Sporting News HOFers in PSA 7--- Baker and Bender, each of which went for a little less than I expected, as did the Brown, Evers and especially the blank-backed m101-5 Marquard.

Default you can pretty much guess what I got

Paid way more than I thought I would have to, but it is a one year issue only and I might not come upon another anytime soon. Interestingly the cabinet reads "Gasper" and all of the checklists and Sporting Life ads have Gaspar, so there may well be a correct and incorrect version. #310 on the eternal quest. This is the before version, who thinks it looks better out of the slab??

I won 2 CJ HOFers (Mack and Huggins), a couple of T204's (Huggins and Devlin), and the E100 Moore. I resist all urges to be a type card collector, but that last one was too tempting.

The 19% vig in Goodwin's is too high for both consignors and bidders, imho. I'd gladly forgo getting the catalogs if it meant that could be reduced.

David-The amazing thing about the N162s was that most were overgraded--check out the backs.
Did anyone here win the Red Hindu Ganzel?
