Your truck certainly looks "authentic." Its a toss up whether the truck or the Ruth is in better condition. I'd feel much better if you sent your truck into PSA for grading.

I've been watching that Lections Ruth since I have one as well (mercifully in better condition). The seller has listed it probably about 10 times now back to back. The first couple of listings actually had bids a fair amount over $1k, but he had some high reserve on it and it hasn't sold. Potential bidders must be tired of seeing it now, so we may see it get relisted many more times in the future!

I know most Lections are rough, but this one certainly may take the prize!

Just wait till there is one, Val. So many types out there....and quite a few I think we haven't seen yet.

It's an original idea to make a card like that ...
The seller originally made it ...
It would be original for a collector to be dumb enough to buy that .....

I'm soooooo glad I got out of "type" collecting years ago...with all these new types out there I'd never be able to keep up!

Agree that the condition is "wholly" less than desirable. Reminds me of the very well centered but heavily creased 1969 white letter Mantle I bought for $30 in the '90's. One that looked just as bad, had worse centering and was TPG'd "poor" just sold for $199.00. And that Ruth is certainly far, far rarer than the Mantle. Something to be said for just having an (any?) example of a super rare and desirable card?

Best wishes,

Larry

It was hard to keep up with even the old types let alone the new ones!!

I am not aware of any of these W626 Sun Pictures Ruth cards existing. Hopefully one will turn up in the future.
