Default issues with sellers in Live Auction section?

Hey Guys
I rarely come over here and even more rarely get involved in these auction sales. I would like to know if any member does not do as they say they are OR they change their minds on something too often. When stating when an auction will end you really need to put what time zone. If something ends at 9pm EST and someone bids at 9:01 EST then that bid shouldn't count. It's common sense. Please continue to let me know of any issues either through PMs or email. I generally put on my manager cap and won't get too involved in someone having "an" issue unless it's theft of fraud. However, if anyone continually doesn't communicate well of do what they say they will, then they won't be allowed on the BST. As always it is Caveat Emptor- buyer beware.....Trade at your own risk......The reason I am posting this is I am privy to at least one situation, very recently, where an auction was supposed to end at a certain time but another bid was allegedly taken anyway. regards

Maybe there could be a section (or something if possable) where feedback can be given to sellers and even buyers. As im sure there are transactions donn here direct. I have done 1 so far and working on a few more now - The first deal was great, and i hope the rest are the same. I had no clue the guy i sent money to and just went on trust. (which was fine) but would of been nice to see like....If he had sold 5 or 10 other times with the buyer being happy or something. Just an idea.

Would be nice though to give the seller "props" for good service and shipping etc

I agree EK, and although it would be a very nice feature, it would be an extremely difficult thing to produce from the back end.

The best way might be to just start a thread entitled "successful B/S/T transactions" and let everyone leave their "feedback" by posting in that thread.

There is more than likely a " +/- rep system" built into the forum software (and Leon smartly has it turned off) but those systems are so easily abused and it ALWAYS leads to pointless bickering.

I have noticed people listing the screen names of people they have had good transactions with in their signatures, and I have considered doing this myself. But then obviously if you are looking to check the b/s/t history of a particular seller it would be difficult to start scanning everyone's signatures to see what you could uncover.

Maybe a Sticky thread - or give it its own section. But I personally would like to commend sellers that i have good deals with and buyers as well for speedy payments. Also would give buyers a sence of security when sending payments - that the seller has done other deals

again just an idea

Default BST feedback etc......

I think that with our s/w you can really see what folks have done on the board; each of their posts and how long they have been here. Knock on wood but I don't know of more than approximately $50 of scams in 8 yrs, besides one guy that was known that screwed Quan over on a deal. But that guy was fairly well known and there isn't anything you can do about that. Needless to say he got booted. Always ask for references if need be and let me, or another moderator, know of any issues or anyone not wanting to give one. In general the fewer rules the better. This is a very safe place but just use your head. If someone has very few posts and/or is new, don't be sending them a lot of money without checking them out. Caveat emptor.....You can always, always PM me and I will check them out for you....AND even call them if I need to.

That's a great offer for you to do diligence if someone has questions. I like that approach better than the Scoring System. That being said, Blowout uses a B/S/T feedback scoring system and the users there place a LOT of emphasis on it.

Or ask around...many of us know each other from transactions and from outside the forum.

True that. I'm fairly new here but have had several successful transactions already. Yes, we are going on the honor system here ..... but I have found TONS of honor here and would be more than happy to help by giving transaction feedback if it helps someone else out.
