Default Who Is Following Probstein’s Gross Sales Totals?

Does anybody here give a rat’s arse about the Gross sales totals in Probstein’s weekly emails?

Is this really an effective marketing method for buyers? ......for consignors? .......for shillers?

Would I benefit by doing the same thing in Buy, Sell & Trade? I doubt it and it won’t happen.

An example was requested

Probstein123LOGOsmall

Superb Jerry Rice, 1/1 NBA Logoman, Babe Ruth , LeBron lead most watched items

Can you share the eMail? Not all of us are on Probstein's mailing list. I want to stay that way.

Wasn't 1952boyntoncollector providing that service free of charge on the BST board?

Default Advice

They have an item I am REALLY interested in obtaining. Their reputation here is so poor I'm torn.

How or if I should proceed? Advice?

What's your specific concern?

Shilling mainly. Not sure if I feel comfortable with all the folks here having such low opinions. Confident in advice from all here.

Thanks again

It's a risk in many places. I wouldn't let it deter you if it's something you really want.

Do you care what kind of person/company you purchase stuff from? Most people don't and only care about price or getting the item.

Personally I try to avoid certain sellers. I bought a very nice Tony Oliva autographed rookie for a friend from one of the sellers I avoid because it saved my friend $20. Now every time I go to his house and see it displayed it makes me cringe and wish I would have bought it from someone else.

Thanks everybody. I appreciate all the comments emails and private messages with opinions and stories of interactions with this company. Since this is an item I truly desire that fits into my collection, I'm going to still put a bid in using my snipe for what I feel I'd like to pay for it, if I get shilled and outbid so be it.

I truly appreciate being part of a community with such a wide expertise and knowledge, experience and camaraderie between like-minded collectors.

Sincerely
Craig Lankford
