Default Help with Delong card; fake?

Posted By: Rob Fouch

I bought a Delong Lefty Grove off ebay recently and am not sure of its authenticity. I'm new to Delongs and took a flier on the card. Just thought it was a cool looking card. Don't know much about them, but it doesn't feel or look right to me. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. Rob

Here are scans of the front and back.

Yikes....thats definitely a fake. The green printing on the back is a dead giveaway, as is the card stock.

I saw that on eBay a few weeks ago. I also think it's fake. As I recall, the guy offered double-your-money back if the card was a fake. (Yeah, right!) Hopefully you paid via PayPal and can get your money back.

Default Help with Delong card; fake?

Thanks for the help. Now that I look at the auction info more closely, it might be a hijacked account. Seller hadn't sold anything for a while. Probably out my cash -- wasn't a huge amount or anything, fortunately. Oh well. I've had decent luck taking a chance here and there and winding up with a good card for a good price. Win some, lose some, I suppose.

Reprint. The "reprint" notation would be found between the Copyright and Delong Co. lines on the reverse had it not been scraped off.
