Nice cards Phil! Those are some of the most iconic cards in the football hobby for sure.

I collect all things football so I guess by default that means I'm a HOF rookie collector ;-) But also REALLY like pre-rookie cards as they are less mainstream and can be a challenge to find in any grade depending on how old they are. Also very much dislike that some HOFers rookie cards are tribute cards from after their playing days,. That just makes absolutely no sense to me if even odd-ball cards from their playing days were made.

Beauties, Peter.

I agree with you Jeff, I like the oddball pre-rookies as well. Many I would even consider legitimate rookie cards, although not as mainstream as their Topps counterparts. This also avoids the post-playing career "rookie cards"

Man some of you guys are gonna hate me....

did my weekly swap meet search and this guy that always has 4-10 bins of junk wax baseball stuff (that is alway way overpriced) had a new bin of vintage football...quickly tells me $1 each card or $225 for the box...(maybe 300 cards in it)...As I browse (note I am a baseball guy first but have respectable bball and football RC collections as well) I find about 33 cards of value.....some of them...

Franco RC
Swan RC
Bleier RC
Lambert (2) RC
Ottis A RC
Green RC
73's-76's - Bradshaw++, Staubauch, Butkus++, Green++, Blanda++, Harris++, Spurrier++, Rancis RC, Webster RC, Ham RC, Tarkenton, Swan++, 2 Rashad RC & Carmichael RC
71 - A couple high numbers

Really been cleaning up lately....$38 spent and total BV was well above $1K

Note these were almost all 6-8s...super nice.

Actuall only bought 26 the first day as I wasn't sure what was worth what...but checked when I got home and noted I left the Bleier and Green RC's as well as a couple other $20 cards in the bin...went back next day and all still there!

Also grabbed 6 92-93 Beam team cards for $5...

Wow. I’d have just grabbed the box and gave him $200!

I didn't know the value of some of it....but I didn't leave anything over $10 on the table. I wasn't in a rush either as nobody was around.

Default Nothing great football-wise....

Not much to speak of football wise this weekend...but the hot streak continues

$20 for Ex condition 1975 Cliff Branch RC...signed. Hopefully the sig adds value as the card is probably worth only $20?

I did find about 200 cards in the $.10 box though...including these 10:

84 Fleer Mattingly NM
71 Concepcion VG
71 Carlton ExMt
71 Simmons VG
91 Score Chippers 5X NM
76 Brooks NM
91 UD Chipper NM
21 Misc Jordans NM
72 Munson Fair
79 Munson NM
