I just thought it was always interesting to see who is collecting what and what portion of our 54 community bids in the different auctions.

I have nothing against Brian (who used to sell me a bunch of the beaters he found along the way) but I just do not bid in his auctions anymore...the stuff is just too high grade for me.

I will admit that if I was given a PSA 8 Stahl, I would not turn it down!

I did not bid in the most recent Mile High auction. Haven't bid in those the past few years...

I never heard of mile high auctions until two days ago. I only use hunt auctions, since it is 20 minutes away from my house and I feel a hometown connection with them. Looking at the grades of the cards at mile high, I definitely wouldn't be able to afford it.

You know the marketing ain't that great when I first learn of an auction from a "show your winnings" thread.

Paul,

Too bad. There was a treasure trove of signed "T" and "E" cards!

That's always my first panic -- did I miss an auction with signed pre-war cards. But the only recent miss I'm aware of is the SCP T202 signed Cobb, which went probably about $10,000 than I would have been able to pay anyway...

Still, I do try to keep up on all of the outstanding auctions to avoid this panic.

I will never be a guy who buys the PSA 8 pre-war cards which pop up in Mile High Auctions, but when an auction appears with a number of E99s in single lots at reasonable prices, you have to be happy because that doesn't happen that often. happy.gif
