Former Chicago Cubs star Ron Santo is scheduled to have his right leg amputated below the knee. Santo has suffered from diabetes since he was eighteen. Santo is currently on leave as a Cubs radio announcer.

How about,after that we send letters to the Hall of Fame,to help get him inducted where he should have been awhile ago.....he has to be the next veteran to make it...that would be ashame,if he made it this year just because he was in the news for something bad happening to him,and that drew attention to him....its happened before,when a player was sick or died right before the election he got "sympathy" votes....but he still should have made it awhile ago
