Default T206 test strips??

Posted By: ScottB

A very interesting topic about t206 test strips. Do they really exist or t206-museum just created those images using photoshop or something? If they do exist, similar test strips could be found in t205 and t207 as well? Does anyone own any of those?

Default T206 test strips??

Okay...
I know the test strips exist for T-206. I have seen at least two different strips of T-206 in person, the Wagner strip and a vertical strip of 2 1/2 (I want to say that Tik/Tik owned it but cannot remember for sure).

As to T-205 I know of no known example of any strips. I have seen many miscuts and some color oddities but never a strip of T-205s. I would pay dearly for even a 2 card strip.

I do not know anything about T-207...maybe Tim N. could shed some light.

Joshua, what do u mean by 2 1/2 vertical strips?

Also, it is interesting that museum brought up the diff. of test strip and proof strip.

A few years ago at the Anaheim National, I saw a strip of t-206s that included Ames (I think) on a vertical strip or two complete Ames cards and a 1/2 of another Ames. Not sure if it was a proof but it did have the piedmont back a little off center I believe.

the reason they distingush between proof and not is that there are printers marks on the Wagner strip and it is blank backed and the others look like printers scrap to me.
