Default 1859 college baseball-plain dress collection

Earlier this year I posted a thread about the collection from Williams College which was a signed picture album containing (5) players that participated in what has been documented as the first Intercollegiate baseball game ever played. It featured Williams College and Amherst College a Muscle and Mind Competition. Baseball and Chess. The first thread titled "1859 college baseball-plain dress" is still available for viewing and features the photos and all the information.

I wanted to let all those know that this collection was picked up by Heritage Auction and will be sold in the Platinum Night Sports Auction in Chicago as a featured item in the live auction August 1-2.

You can view this auction now at Heritage if you go to this featured auction.

A special thanks to Leon for getting this item out and a special thanks to Net54Baseball.com for everything they did to get exposure on this Collection.

thanks so much Leon,

Kevin

You are welcome Kevin. With Heritage being our Platinum sponsor for the Net54baseball Dinner the last 3 yrs, including this year, it is quite fitting for them to be auctioning it. Good luck with it. It's certainly a neat piece of very early baseball memorabilia.

I knew that Heritage and Net54baseball had a great affiliation but did not realize it was to this degree. That is fantastic. I hope the collection does well but we shall see. Just having something that is top drawer is fun in itself.

Thanks,
'
Kevin
