Default 1970 Kellogg's baseball packs

Does anyone know if the 1970 Kellogg’s baseball packs were collated randomly or consistently? If two packs have the same visible card on top, does that mean that the cards in both packs are the same (consistently)? Or, the visible card on the top is no indicator of what other cards are in the pack (random)? Thanks for any insights.

Default 1970 Kelloggs Packs

I've opened 10 packs from three different purchases. The sequencing was not the same even when I got Johnny Bench in three consecutive packs.

Default Kellogg's Packs

Even though the sequencing was not consistent in the 10 packs, patterns were seen in these packs. I had mostly packs with higher numbered cards on the front. The cards behind the front card didn't follow in an exact sequence, but they all tended to be higher numbered cards as well.

Beckett Auctions had a bunch of sheets available a few months ago. I didn't get any 1970 sheets, but I did save off pictures of these sheets. I'll need to look at those sometime and compare to the order of how the cards were ordered in the packs that I opened.

If anyone has an exact listing of what they pulled in order, I'd love to add that to my research.

For the first time in years, I saw a bunch of 1970 Kellogg's packs at the National. No dealer had more than 5 or 6, but I probably saw 15 or so packs around the room on Wednesday.

Thanks folks. If I ever get packs I will take note of the order within the packs.

Default Kellogg's Pack Order

That pack is almost sequential. A pack I opened recently was similarly sequential.

Nolan
Pepitone
Murcer
Brown
Bench
Tiant

Has anyone gotten a pack that had cards that weren't nearly sequential?
