Bargain... I think a lot of prospective bidders are confused by the faithful reproductions and the real thing. This one certainly appears to be good.

I confess, it was me. I have wanted one of these for lone time but didn't know enough about them to pay the "going price". I thought at this price it was worth a shot.

Default Not necessarily indicative

that it is a fake if not there. I have seen a few that were real where that ws removed. I have one of these, an if it is real, a true bargain even with the staining and the other obvious problems.

Hey guys the Stevengraph came today. I took it out of the frame and took a couple of scans. It does not have the mat with info on the front or back. It has a cut mat front and a blank mat back. The piece is sandwiched in between and held together somehow. The frame is really old and I am sure it was made for the piece but not sure if it was period to the piece. What do think in terms of authenticity and value. I appreciate your help.

Personally, I would sacrifice the mat to see what is on the back. Chances are I'd want to re-mat it with something more archival anyway, even if using the original frame, since you don't know what is in the original mat that might damage the piece over time.
