Another Ebay T206 Nodgrass error FAKE from G.H.

NOTE - Ebay auction 5172298955 T206 Nodgrass (batting) error is FAKE.

Here we go again with greenhornet007 and the T206 Snodgrass "Nodgrass" error
cards.
This ebay seller (Mr. G.H. of Pennsylvania) has an ugly history of selling these Nodgrass error cards (see below).
Also remember that the Nodgrass error is ONLY available in the batting pose,
something this seller didn't know while toiling in his card factory.

The complete list of PSA graded Snodgrass error cards was forwarded to
Steve Rocchi, president of PSA, in an email of 06/18/01.
It was determined that these were all submitted by the same person.
Rocchi also stated that there was another PSA investigation into this same
person regarding multiple 1985 Topps Mark McGwire PSA10 cards.

I would feel safe to say that the T206 Nodgrass error card population has been
permanently polluted by this ebay seller.

are you saying he sent all these in to psa and they graded them,as nodgrass, and they did not catch the alteration and have not deleted the serial #'s on their website?

Scary as hell that PSA needed reports of this rare error hitting the market before knowing that altered cards were altered. What did Dennis Purdy say, "Smoke detectors without batteries"?

My new catalog will be about in a couple of days (it should go online late tonight or early tomorrow) and I have a Nodgrass graded by SGC. I believe it is real and even provide a close-up detail for your inspection. It has the two dots to the right of the first "S", as all real ones should.

Makes all of the above ancient history.

If you think about it, the last major grading error occured somewhere around the year 2000.
It was the Rosen - SGC - K. Olbermann - Doyle Error misunderstanding.

These are all things of the past.
Besides, all the major problems that we're hearing about, are mainly in the memorabilia, bats, gloves and the autograph game.

The Slab Gods have given us a Fail Safe in Card World.
It couldn't possibly happen Again.

WOW! nice work Art! a few corrections, Doug was told it was a fake by me, then Joe Orlando immediately refunded him and destoryed the card. 2nd, the one that I won was not holdered! I put a 10X on it and up close and magnified, it looked golden! It was the catching pose. My 76 year old father at the time held it under a 1960 Colts lamp and said "son, this card is no good". I said what???? After holding the card a foot from my face and under a light and tilted slightly, I could see the round dull spot where the "S" was removed artificially. My best to you Art, this is a super post! Dan.

I would like to add that the "catching pose" Nodgrass does not exist. If you have a catching pose Nodgrass, than you have a Hober special!

That would reward the scammer. They should admit their fault and delist it from their registry and offer a refund of the grading and shipping price only.

I disagree Adam, PSA made the mistake. And to clean up their mistake and take this fake off of the market, they need to acquire it somehow. I know it seems wrong to pay for a fake but it is now in their holder and that is a bad reflection on them.


I received Barry's catalog today and that Nodgrass is absolutely the real McCoy so bid with confidence!
