Default Bobby clark

I've seen several 1972 Birmingham A's baseballs with Bobby Clark signature. He doesn't appear on their 72 roster. Was he visiting the team? He should have graduated high school in 72 or 73. I know he was drafted in 73 but did not sign. any help on this would be appreciated.

Pretty strange. He was born and raised here in Cali. Drafted by Houston in 73 out of HS but didn't sign, and then drafted by the Angels in 75. Even if the A's were wooing him, not sure why he'd be in Birmingham in 72...maybe Oakland to check out the major league team, but not Birmingham. Also, he was never in the Southern League, so that's even stranger.
