Default OT - What's the saddest facial expression on a Baseball Card?

For me, it has to be this one. It looks like they told Fernando he was traded about 4 seconds before this picture was snapped...

Saddest: Lou Brock on any Cubs card.

Happiest: Lou Brock on any Cardinals card.

I don't have a scan of it handy but there is one of the poses of Pete Hotaling in the Old Judge set where he is holding his stomach. I have always thought it looked like he was about to vomit, definitely one of the "strangest" poses on a card.

I think you mean this card (scan from an auction - not a personal example). Definitely one of the more curious poses from the Old Judge set:

How has this thread reached page two without mention of the saddest-looking man to grace a Topps card on multiple occasions? Poor Bill. That wad of chewbacca permanently lodged in his left cheek ultimately cost him most of his tongue.

Like the 63 Tuttle above, I was first made aware of this Tex Clevenger card in the book The Great American Baseball Card Flipping Trading and Bubble Gum book. I think the authors said it looked like after a stint of being hit hard, that Tex was considering getting out of the baseball business.

Gee Tex maybe you should.

When I get home from work I'll see if I can find a scan of it somewhere.

This is the one I was thinking of, he has a strange smirk on his face (so not really sad, I guess) but it does look like he is about to lose his lunch!

The '33 Goudey Todt is pretty good.

The '65 Tuttle had me laughing out loud. Good one!

He might have it coming out of both ends, from the way he is holding his stomach and rear end.

This card adds a different kind of sadness into the mix. Look at that surrendering grin on Bobby's face. He's thinking, "Man, how in heck did I NOT launch that one into the seats???!!!!!"
