It looks like the Julius C. Young listed in the 1910 census died July 6, 1967 in Cincinnati, and is buried in Spring Grove Cemetery there, along with his wife and daughter. Still a lot of holes to fill in, though.

I could easily see Julius C. Young having the nickname “Cy”, especially if he was a pitcher. Irv Young of T206 was nicknamed “Young Cy” or “Cy the Second”.

It looks like his full name was Julius Carl Young. He was evidently born in Hamburg, Germany on July 12, 1877, and came to the US with his parents in the 1880s. As Tom mentioned, he died July 6, 1967 in Cincinnati. I got his middle name from his WWII draft registration card.

Julius is also listed in the 1910, 1920, 1930 and 1940 Federal Census' in Cincinnati. The 1910 census sheet is a supplemental sheet, probably done later in the year, once the baseball season was over. The 1910 census sheet listing him in Huntington, WV, was dated April 15, 1910.

Also, regarding the request to post links to the stories I found, Newspapers.com is a subscription service. I've subscribed to it, as I do alot of genealogy research on my family. There are numerous articles (more than one per week) in the Point Pleasant (WV) Register from May - September 1910, regarding the local team and the league in general, with box scores.

Thank you I will look into that service. I think the VVL information alone is worth it. As mentioned not alot of stats/records exist from the Leagues one year of existence. Its amazing T210 cards captured that small moment in time.
