Baseball lost its best pitcher of all-time(biased opinion). 170-83 by age 25 with an amazing 5 year stretch including a 2.40 ERA pitching for the White Stockings in 1884 when they set the long standing home run records because of the outfield fences a mere 200 feet away.I think that 1884 season had alot to do with his early arm injuries he never recovered from.He also went 43-14 1.95 as a 20 year old rookie!

Enjoy all 6 versions of Larry Corcoran's OJ cards.Had to make the scan much smaller tho to be able to upload it but you get the idea

He not only pitched for the White Stockings in 1884, he contributed a home run to their record total.

I could have been a mammouth 400+ foot shot or an inside-the-parker. It does not matter. It is forever tainted by the mental asterisk that all of these players shamefully took to their graves. Solely because the wall was too close.

It brings a tear to my eyes.

Awesome way to collect, John!

Thanks for sharing John, always love seeing the OJ variations with a good story to boot.

Best Regards,
