And, for what it's worth, my opinion is that the signatures on the photo are good, while Stanesq's Gehrig is not.

I'm not crazy about the Ruth.
The baseline is off on both names, Babe and Ruth, the 'e' a total horror. The roof-line on the 'uth' is off, typically an even ascending gradient, ( / ), the hook on the end of the 'h' that bypasses the typical, one motion starting point of the line crossing the 't'. Could be a filed-written, hand supported signature because as many of the elements that look suspect to me, are equaled out by the promising features.
