Yes, big congrats on the Wagner. So, I'm not a T206 guy, but I do love all Cobb cards. I was trying to make a play for this one until I got blown out. 2014 it sold for 42k and 5 years later the same card sells for 126k! Congrats to ever won this, and its safe to say, new people may be collecting?!?!

Great auction. I can’t wait for next round.
WOW! Congrats! U did good on those two Brown Lenox (Lenoxes??). That error Brown OM was a steal! Thats like a $50k card, I would think!

When people say they go blown out of the water, that means if they were trying to do a direct deal they would of insulted the seller if the seller was looking for a price closer the the auction price....deep thoughts

This sentiment is not always true by any means. If a sale sets a record by a large sum...whose to say the second bidders bid wasn't reasonable????

I think if that Plank had sold for 200K...many would have been similarly impressed by the ultimate hammer??

Yes it was a great price as I was the consignor of that lot. Figured out eBay may have been a better venue to sell postcards like that. Glad it went to a board member.

Default W600 Delehanty

On the off chance that someone here won the W600 Delehanty and was purely speculating on it and wants to make a small/reasonable profit I am interested in buying, OR trading my lower graded example(raw G/VG) towards it OR trading some of my other cards as well, what ever your interest might be.

PM if so.

Scott

My winnings don't hold a candle to most here - but I was happy with adding to the Postcard collection.

I well recall my professor at Ball State University quoting the disturbed character who wrote those words you quoted. There wasn't a class member in the large hall that didn't wince at hearing them.

So, Yoda, if ye wish to be an inflated tadpole, 'tis all your own choosin'. Some day, the feeling to which you refer will indeed pass, along with you.

Isn't that a Mark Twain line?

Sean, I haven't the foggiest notion; regardless, when John quoted it, I instantly recalled the occasion when Dr. Edmonds closed the class with those hideous words.

I Googled the gist of the line, and it seems to have been uttered as a joke in late June, 1937 by film and state actress Edna Mae Oliver. Ms. Oliver was a hoot to enjoy in films, and I recall her in DRUMS ALONG THE MOHAWK, and especially PRIDE AND PREJUDICE. I also remember her to be rather tall and slender, so my assumption that the individual who uttered such nonsense was enormous was "off-base", to get us back to America's national pastime.

Yes, so back to our niche of the woods, that Honus Wagner cabinet is simply stunning. A centerpiece, to be sure.

George Soros and his many "owned" minions would beg to differ, using whoever and whatever they can to take down our great country.

It has been way below the belt for quite some time, and the wicked 4 scream all kinds of unfair, untruthful, and idiotic accusations if you so much as disagree with them, or say anything that could be misconstrued against their agendas.

I'll leave it at that; our moderator prefers us to leave politics alone, which is best. We need this happy place, even if a recent hobby development has made many of us unhappy.
