Default Quick Gehrig question

Is there any video or sound of his full speech or is it just the main parts. And is the full speech the one at Gehrigs Site(talks about Giants and Huggins, etc). I know the speech in "Pride of the Yankees" is different. Thanks

Brock, I found many sites but they all had a shortened version. Then I found a site that may explain why:

Though there were so many microphones at the game, only four sentences of the speech survived on tape. Much of the speech was lost and the following was pieced together from the various newspapers of the day:

Here's the site...they do have audio and it seems to include at lease one sentence that I could not find on others.

Hope this helps.

I spoke with librarians at the Hall of Fame about this many years ago.

There is no existing recording of the entire speech--no film, no audio.

The whole speach written out in Jonathon Eig's book 'Luckiest Man'. I'll have to double check but I thought I read in there that the a whole film and audio of the speach is owned by a private party and they wanted so much money for the rights to use it no one has ever bothered.

I'm sure you didn't read that in Eig's book.
