Default 1974 Capital Publishing

I recently acquired a stack of the 1974 Capital Publishing cards/photos. I was surprised to get 2 different #39 Delahanty & Speaker and also 2 different #59 Simmons & Jenning. The Trading Card Database, Beckett and SCD all list Delahanty as #38 and Simmons as #58. Does anyone know if these are variations or just uncorrected/uncataloged errors?

I don't know anything about this set but all of the copies on eBay have Delahanty and Speaker as #39 and Simmons and Jennings as #59. I wonder if there were corrections printed later on?
