Default 1949 Bowman Baseball Ring and Bank - do they exist?

We all know the ads on the bottom of 1949, instructing kids to send some change to get #202 baseball ring or #201 baseball game and bank. I've never actually seen these items anywhere though. Do they actually exist? Does anyone have photos?

Ted Z wrote a really great article on that set in VCBC fairly early on, my issues are in storage but does anyone know if it's mentioned there?

I acquired the Bank premium at the ole Willow Grove Show back in 1985. I still have it, but it is hidden somewhere in my collection of goodies.

The Bowman Ring premium exists. I've never had a chance to get it.

I'd love to see a picture of either, if you know where I can find one.

Haven't had any luck anywhere. If you ever dig it up from within your collection I'd very much enjoy taking a gander!

Default Bowman bank premium

This 1949 Bowman Gum Co. premium is 2" in diameter with a 1" slot for inserting pennies, nickels, and dimes.

Sorry for the fuzzy picture.

There is a basketball ring too. The basketball set has six different premiums offered on the cards.

The rings can be had somewhat easily if you are ebay diligent. Here's the baseball ring from a September listing

The seller actually has a football one listed now.

Default The real Bowman bank...

Sorry to jump in on this a year late, but here is the real bank that was offered by Bowman. I purchased this about 6 years ago and this is the only one I have ever seen. The only thing missing is the plastic players and the instructions. The box is a bit worse for wear but is there.
