Default Collection I'm considering buying - PSA grade help?

Leaving the scans in large format for anyone that wants to help me with this. Just looking for some grade estimates.

I've edited the OP to have scans of all cards in the collection. Please note some cards (like the 57 Williams and 68 Bench) have some creases that are not easily seen.

Please let me know what you think the collection retail value is....I figure it's around 800-1000 but curious where you guys are on it. Not the best scans but at this point I don't think I'm getting the collection (seller wants $1k) so not gonna spend TOO much more time on it.

If those were my cards I wouldn't spend the money on grading if I was going to get PSA 4's and 5's. That's what I think your cards would grade out at. Grade cards you think could get a 8 or more, than you could get some big dough out of them.

They all pretty much look EX (PSA 5) to me. The '68 & '70 Seaver maybe Ex/Mt?

Do you think any of these could grade 8+?

It is a beautiful mid-grade collection with a strong eye toward centering.

If I was buying the set for myself, I might grade the Schmidt rookie (chance at a PSA 6). If I was planning to sell these cards, I would grade the Schmidt as well as the Yaz rookie (probably PSA 4), as both would sell better graded.

Schmidt has multiple surface blemishes but I think the 70 seaver is much nicer than a 6.

The Clemente looks nice. Would it not grade a 7? Is the seller firm at 1K?

I'm at a loss why some think the Schmidt isn't gradable. Maybe my computer is not getting the resolution, but I just checked ebay and there are multiple 8's that look worse than that Schmidt.

Schmidt is nicely centered. Can't tell if there's a ding in the bottom right corner or not due to the bright image. 1973's had notorious back centering issues as well, so I'd have to see the back of the card. Although PSA is much more forgiving on back centering (even a 75/25 back can qualify for a 10).

The OP switched out the scans. His initial post included much larger higher resolution scans. IIRC, there was a lot of wear on one of the corners (top right I believe). It looked like a 5.5 or 6 to me.

That 1960 Clemente looks very worthy of submission.

That might explain why I don't see a Yaz Rookie in the batch.

Default 1K

I don't see 1K there, remember you are on the hook for fees etc which will total nearly 20% so even if there were $1200 of cards there you'd only break even with a 1K purchase, not the mention the time/energy you'd spend.
