Hi Irv,

You're most welcome for the info! And thanks for that heads up. If I do get my display set up, I'll definitely have to keep it out of direct sunlight. I appreciate that FYI. BTW, that truly is a classic picture!

Best always,
John

Niether company will grade them right in front of you. Your best is same day at a show and i believe PSA only does this at the national anymore. SGC does it at a number of shows. SGC will also be more forthcoming with why something graded what it did if you have any issues. Probably will never do it in Canada though, it would probably be too large a hassle and or cost ineffective to ship the slabbing machine into the country.

I thought, at the Toronto spring Expo, that Beckett was grading cards while you wait, but found out you could only submit there.

I did converse with an SGC guy way earlier in the year, and at an Ohio show, they were grading, and I believe slabbing cards, but he said to come real early if I wanted my card(s) back that day.

Both PSA and SGC said they don't attend CDN shows due to the expense/hassle. Not sure if they ever did, but I can understand their reasons.

Someday I'll travel south to attend one of these shows or take a vacation and take my cards directly to their shops, but until then, I think I will wait to submit/mail them in.

Thanks for the info, Glyn.

Amazing card holybull, thanks for sharing!

Perhaps one day I'll own a PSA 10 of Bench's rookie. If yes, I'd like one with the spelling on the back of the word "the" to be correct. Perhaps one day. It might be a long shot, but one never knows.
