Default Fishing for trades, T205's, 206's

I have a couple dozen ungraded 205's and 206's, mostly fair to good, and a few more graded of the same caliber, for trade bait.
Hoping to trade for cards of equal value.
I'll include scans.

Thanks.

Doug,
Send me list of T206s that you are looking to trade. Do you have list of cards that you need?

Default Scans of 205 and 206's to trade

Sorry that my last thread did not include scans.
I'm just finding my way around Net54 and learning how to operate.

I've included the maximum 5 scans allowed; here's a list of the cards:

T206:

Warhop, NY Amer., Piedmont, scrap book back,
Hunter, Brooklyn, Sweet Caporal, missing a little paper on uniform,
Pastorius, Brooklyn, Piedmont,
Lumley, Brooklyn, Piedmont,
Bergen, Brooklyn, El Principe De Gales,
McElveen, Brooklyn, Piedmont,
Bell, throwing, Brooklyn, Piedmont,

Dineen, St. Louis, Sweet Caporal,
Summers, Detroit, Sweet Caporal,
Hoffman, Providence, stamped on back,
Liefield, Pittsburg, Piedmont, appears to be excellent, but is slightly trimmed,
Hoblitzell, Cincinnati, Piedmont,
Arndt, Providence, Piedmont,
Campbell, Cincinnati, Piedmont,
Wiltse, NY Nat., Polar Bear,
Barger, Rochester, Piedmont,
Pfeffer, Chicago, Nat., Piedmont,
Strang, Baltimore, Piedmont,
Gasper, Cincinnati, Piedmont,
Barry, Milwaukee, Polar Bear,

Tim Jordan, Brooklyn, batting, PSA graded poor-fair/1,
John Ganzel, Rochester, Piedmont, SGC graded 30/Good/2
Hoblitsell, Cincinnati, Cycle, PSA graded

T205:

Barger, Brooklyn, Piedmont,
Bergen, Brooklyn, Piedmont,
Lennox, Brooklyn, Polar Bear, 2 9/16"
Bender, Philadelphia Amer., Polar Bear,
Pelty, St. Louis, Amer., Piedmont, 2 9/16"
Shean, Boston Nat., Piedmont, trimmed on top,
Barger, Brooklyn, Piedmont, paper loss and stamp on back,
Bergen, Brooklyn, Sweet Caporal, paper loss and stamp on back,
Murphy, Phil. Amer., Piedmont, paper loss on back.

I should note that there may be a few that are trimmed, that I've not mentioned as I've never measured them. I certainly will measure any that you're interested in. I haven't tried to grade them, beyond saying that most are fair to good.

Hi, Richie.

I posted the following message on Net54. I'm not sure if it was sent to you or not; if you've already received it, you can disregard this. I only have about 210 206's, so my want list is too extensive to make up. Here's the message:

Default T206 traders

Hi Doug,
Welcome aboard to Net54. I've recently joined myself, and have found both the forums as well as the buy/sell/trade section invaluable. Good thought to post your availability and wish list for T205 and T206 trades. I wanted to point out, for you and others, that there's an existing thread for T206 trades: http://www.net54baseball.com/showthr...t=T206+traders. Might be worth your while to look up the previous posts there to see if you can find something of interest for yourself. I myself have posted some available cards from my collection; and could be interested in your Bergen EPDG and the Liefield (is it definitely trimmed?) for which I'll e-mail you separately.
Best of luck,
--S

Default Trade for Seymour

Hi, jdubbs.

I'm not sure if I have anything in quite as good condition.
Were you able to see the scans I posted today with this list?

I think my 206 Barger is a solid good, but given the corner crease, maybe something less in condition than your Seymour [does Seymour's clipped name devalue it a little? It doesn't bother me, but it might make it more of an even trade]. I'll include scans of the best I have to offer; you can take your choice. The 206 Strang isn't bad, but a bit stained, worse on the back. The 205 Bergen is a real nice looking card, but is either miscut or trimmed [the right-side measures okay, but the left side is short.

As I say, I'm only just learning to navigate on Net54, so please advise me if you think you can be helpful.

Thanks.

Ray,

I'm starting to get confused as to whether or not I've replied to you/you've seen my scans and list. I'm still a newbie, so please bear with me.

I take it, that with this message, at least, you can see my list/scans?

Let me know.

My regular email is djdoremus@msn.com if you think that's the best way of communicating.

Thanks.

Doug

I re-read your message and wanted to say thanks again for all the useful information. I'm having some difficulties learning to navigate the system, and I appreciate your [and several other members'] help. I didn't know, for instance, how to find that existing thread for T206 trades, still don't for that matter; but now I've visited and bookmarked the site, and I'll go back to it when I've got more time and finished with the several responses I have gotten.

Oh, yes, the EPDG Bergen is much closer to fair than good, not to overrate it.

Doug

Default Leifield

Is that Leifield a reprint? The font size doesn't look right...

Default Leifield authenticity

Someone questioned the font on the Leifield card yesterday, though today the message has disappeared.
Comparing it to my other cards, I see no difference, except that the Leifield is pristine and in better condition than all my other Pittsburg cards.
I checked it out under the microscope and the colors are quite beautiful as these cards go.
Alas, it does show "evidence of trimming," [SGC documented], which I did note on my list.

I like the trimmed Leifield enough that I'll offer my best/untrimmed Leifield for trade instead, if you/anyone would prefer it. I'm including a new scan.
