Default Rabitt Maranville auto opinion

Can anyone offer an opinion on this Rabbit Maranville auto?

I appreciate everyone's input.

Curious to know if there are many Rabbit Maranville signed bats out there?

Maranville auto does look genuine to me but i would appreciate opinions from the cogniscenti.

Thank you

Not perfect, but certainly looks authentic. Any imperfections are likely due to the medium... Fountain Pen against grainy wood is not the ideal surface for a perfect sig. Babe seemed to pull it off pretty well, but I'm sure he had a lot more experience signing bats than Rabbit.

Have not seen many bats signed by Maranville through the years, so would say it's rare. Hope this helps.

Thank you Mark for your valued input.

The bat is actually a Montreal Royals mini souvenir bat signed by the team while Rabbit Maranville was the manager of the team. His managerial duties lasted for a very short time with the Royals...so i would assume that it is quite a rare item.

I believe Rabitt Maranville's tenure as the head coach of The Montreal Royals was the 1937 season and not the complete 1938 season. Here are some photos of the team signed bat
