Default 1952 Topps Mantle PSA 8.5 sells for record price at REA

Total 230 000$ + juice = 272 550$

Last 8.5 sold in 2010 for a little over 154 000$

That is a HUGE increase!!!

Drebinger might have had his credential revoked by the Yankee brass after that piece.

Makes you wonder...if the day ever comes that one of the legendary PSA 10 Mantles (I believe there's three of 'em) comes under the hammer, what do you suppose it'll fetch?

I'd be willing to wager it cracks seven figures. Certainly no less than $500,000.

One of the owners has said he's turned down $3m in the past. You could name your price.

If that is true then I was right in saying that the 52 Topps Mantle in PSA 10 will one day be the most expensive baseball card in the world.

Before the Gretzky Wagner was disproven, I might've disagreed with you, but now, I think you could be right.

But I'd imagine it'll be a looooong time before any of those three Mantles comes up for sale.
