So I just got back into cards a few years ago due to my young teenage son wanting to get into then.
Since then i have been into building sets with him, and have not really looked at the cards i bought back in the 70's & early 80's.
So i was messing around with them and found this one. Since i am too cheap to go buy a price guide or an on line subscription, i went to EBAy to look and see what they sell for. I only found 3 and they were all graded. So i went to my 2 sites i buy from, and neither had one. So then i put in a search and found only one site that had a RAW one and it said $100 VG.
I am NOT a dealer or seller and am just a simple collector. So anybody give me an estimate of what it is worth in this condition? Sorry my scanner stinks! Thanks for the info.

$100 give or take is my best guess.

vcp on a 3 is about $125, not sure if it would be a 2 or a 3 if you graded it.

Dang, really!
I had no idea It was that much!
I did a search and found that one site had it at #7, for the most valuable Rookie's in the 60's.

Thanks a bunch. I think I will try to find a screwdown then, since its just in a regular hard plastic now.

you're welcome.

it's his rookie card and yours is actually better centered than most examples. the bottom right corner is a killer, otherwise it appears to be a pretty nice card.

really nice to hear your son enjoys the cards too.

Yes, the corner ding is a head thumper.
I wish I could remember what I paid for it back in the early 80's

My son gets his love for the cards the old fashioned way, from watching MLB channel and being interested in the greats of the past.
What kills me is when we go to card shows in K.C. and he is the youngest person their by 10-15 years
Kids do video games and stuff now, so our hobby is dying off with the lack of interest from the young generation.

We enjoy putting sets together (1971 Topps Baseball now, then 1967 Philadelphia Football next) and also 1919 World Series Black Sox and Reds stuff. Then Dad concentrates on 1922 E120's

Thanks again for the info. This board amazes me with it's knowledge from its users.
