Default Topps makes another amazing auto cut card

Topps has done it again. They have made another amazing auto cut card. Sure the guy is still alive, and doesnt need a "cut" auto. Sure it is an in person autograph, sure it is personalized "to larry", sure it is of one of IMO the worst baseball anouncers next to only Joe Morgan, sure it is of a fleer card, But it is a 1 of 1 so some sucker will spend a few hundred on this garbage.

That's atrocious. As you stated, that card is wrong on so many levels. Perhaps the perfect storm of questionable choices in design and execution. I'd go as far as saying, this may be the worst card in the history of cards. It will take a massive effort to top it in the future, and even then I don't think you could put together a less appealing card, no matter how hard you tried.. This card doesn't have one redeemable quality. Aside from maybe the 1/1 thing, and even then, many in the hobby find manufactured scarcities detestable..

On the bright side, at least they didn't cut off part of the signature to fit the card's frame..

All of these cards are terrible, but I mostly object to McCarver as an announcer. He always has to make some "Master of the obvious" comment to make himself look better. I guess that's how you add the "color" commentary, but for some reason he really rubs me the wrong way. I will sometimes turn off the TV sounds and listen to radio play by play (if it's a vintage guy). I will give him credit as a good catcher, but that's where the fun stops.

I wonder why it was cut in such a poor shape?

This thread made me wonder about other's out there.

I guess they wanted to make sure his Right knee was centered, not the auto:

How do you make a Babe Ruth Auto more attractive? Just show his knees and put a Jeter auto on the back so that it can't be displayed at the same time:

How does a player with only 218 games become collectible? Give a shot of his knee:

Not as bad as others, but how do you celebrate a Player with a Career BA of .344? You chop off part of his signature and display it with an image the size of finger nail next to a full body image and full auto of a newbie with a .272 BA over two years:

I stopped questioning anything Upper Deck does years ago.

I'm amazed that Topps used a Fleer card.

I am brand new to the autograph world and these cards are absolutely horrendous. I don't fully understand "cuts" in the first place, but inserting them into another card at awkward angles and mis-aligned really boggles my mind.

What garbage...I guess it is too much to ask the mfgs to use a little common sense in designing a card.
