Default Spaeth Your A Buying Machine!

Two nicely centered Hofers. Nicely done.
The 62 Mantle is really nice. Better than some eights I have seen.

I can't keep up with guys like you buying the big cards like high grade Dan Dee Mantles. Just picking up some scraps you leave behind.

Nothing too exciting except for me...down to 11 more to go for my 1963 Topps set. Getting super excited to finish such an iconic set...

This card is beyond awesome!
But the baggie really sucks. I hate the PSA holdering of cards with the baggie.

I'll say again; Amazing Mantle; Congrats.

RayB

I've never really given this much thought. What is the reasoning behind the baggie?

Not sure on the Mylar Baggie. Not a fan of it either. Just spitballing, could it be since there might be oil from the potato chips still on/in the card?

When they don't have a holder that precisely fits the card, it keeps it (supposedly) from moving around.

I wanted to get in on the latest rookie card craze. I guess this would be a considered Musial's rookie card if it's 1947.

Nice Jenkins, I was looking at both 7s and 8s and musta missed that one!!

Another detour from rookie cards, no big deal but looked a long time for a nice one.

Thanks, guys. I caught the auction with about a minute left and thought "man, what a great looking card." Decided to throw in a bid in the last few seconds and won it.

As usual - great pick-ups, everyone!

I just purchased a PSA 3 through the Make a Offer listing and luckily it was accepted.

Been wanting one a while, but never really followed my heart until I seen your P/U.

I've been out of the game for a while, but I went to Mark Macrae's show today and bang!!! I negotiated like a fiend and knocked three extremely tough cards off of my need list at a great price and I am psyched!!!!

Plus, I picked up a ridiculously nicely centered 1972 Aaron IA, and it's the 'variation' with the red/orange streak running through it, so I have that going for me, which is nice…

Great job! Four great cards. And yep, that Aaron IA is almost always way O/C.

Three more for my Aaron run. The two Brewers team cards are hand cut from sheets (mail in offer from Topps). Although Aaron retired in 1976, he appears on the 1977 team card - top row, fifth from left.

A few random adds.

The Hostess is for a tweak to my Aaron display. I decided to pull out the five 1974 "Hank Aaron Special" cards as too redundant with his "real" cards.

This Collins, courtesy of B/S/T, is one of two no doubt HOFers in 1933 Goudey as managers/execs. Speaker is the other.

And here is one of my favorite Aaron magazines. I was able to upgrade from one with a mailing label and loose spine to this NM edition.

Thanks Jason, looks like you picked up what I would assume are a couple of pretty rare Aarons. Nice cards.

Default Perfectly centered goodness

Picked this up at a card show from a dealer friend a week or so ago.
Definitely the most impulsive card purchase I've made, but that centering... crazy!
I don't regret it, but I also need to be saving for the National. Seriously thinking about consigning it. It's more card than I can handle!

Default Seaver RC

Can't let a Seaver RC go by without throwing out a congrats! I built that set and know how tough that card is.
