Default I stand corrected about Mall Theatre

Posted By: Todd Schultz

Two and a half years ago, I posted that a Mall Theatre card, while 100 times scarcer than a blank-backed M101-4, would likely not ever sell for that multiplier.

Seems I was wrong.

I was surprised by that too. It is, in fact, listed in SCD with NO multiplier. Interesting.

Why doesn't that ever happen with my auctions? Pretty rare(scarce, heck I don't know anymore) card but a pretty stout price too....I have rarely regretted overpaying for something....though I prefer to underpay ..

This just shows how volatile the market is. The underbidder bid w/ 6 seconds left. Without that bid the card sells for $560 (Ignoring snipes in the last 5 seconds that didn't go through...)

It shows that JC and 1 other bidder are nuts.

I thought that the Holmes To Homes Stengel that sold for about $600 awhile back was a bargain. I guess I'll keep kicking myself about it. Maybe the back damage on a rare back turned people off.
