Very good auction house.....just curious, and pardon the cynicism but I have been on the board too long, you didn't happen to consign to them did you?

Not cynicism, Leon --- great moderating. The best on the intranets.

Default No did not consign

No Leon, never heard of them, I guess, because they do mostly memorabillia not too many cards and that is why I never heard of them. Actually I have never consigned anything to any auction house, still a buyer not a seller.

Sounds great and no harm was intended. If you have read this board long enough you will know it's a fair question but also one that could be taken wrong. Thanks for your response and understanding. John and Judy Burke, who run that auction, are great folks. I have known them for at least 10 yrs and I wish them nothing but the best with whatever they do. best regards

What Leon said about John & Judy Burke x 10!!! Although I am mostly a card collector, a number of years ago I bought a somewhat large memorabilia item at one of the far-away Nationals (Anaheim or Chicago, I can't remember which) from another dealer. I knew that I was going to have a bit of a problem getting it back on the airplane with me or have to incur a sizeable ground shipping cost. John, whom I hardly knew, offered to bring it back East along with their show display stuff at no charge, and I was able to pick it up the next time they set up at a show in my area.

John and Judy are wonderful people.

Here is one of the auction lots I have won from them in the past:

I concur that John & Judy are wonderful people. I have both consigned to their auctions as well as won lots. They are one of, if the not the most, reputable auction house on earth.

+1 - I won a lot of items from them back when they first got started. Great stuff and super-friendly people to deal with.
