Default Help Needed: late '80's Magic Johnson signed shoes

As a kid of the late '80's / early '90's I love the look of this pair of Magic shoes with box. One is signed. I am not familiar with Magic's older sig. Would this be a legit example? What is a fair price to pay on this "kicks"? I would like to correct the title of the thread - as these are early 1990's shoes not late '80's.

Thanks!

Borrowed from EBay auctions:

The shoes are in mint shape, with a near mint box and come with a sellers letter (he managed a shoe store in town in the 1990's and Magic attended the release event for his line of shoes)

I would pass because:
  • Usually has big M,A,P (not 9) in slightly decending size
  • Comes from a timeframe at the height of forged items.

Not comfortable at all overall, from first glance to last.
