Default Susini

I have two 1915 Susini Jack Johnson cards (see below). The other day while sorting and generally playing with my cards I noticed that one of the Susini cards has color, specifically in Jack Johnson's skin tones. I always thought this was a black and white photo issue - perhaps not. Does anyone else have any input? Am I the last guy on my block to know the cards were / may have been issued with original color. Again, please see scan.

No answer but good to know I'm not the ONLY one who plays with my cards. That's what my daughter asked me the other day. Why do I play with the cards so much. Hmm.....no good answer there.

The Susini cards had colour but it was some kind of watercolour on it. Once I put 3 cards inthe water to remove a piece of paper glued on the back and the colour began to dissapear because of that fact. The original card was black and white and in some way the cards were painted by hand.
