Not sure what you're asking.

Are you asking why people say "For Sell" rather than "For Sale"?

You can blame that on our wonderful education system in this country.

Same reason you look closely at cards through a "loop."

That's what you write when your item "needs sold"

I've heard the mixing tenses thing is an Ohio/western PA thing, but I've seen it from people in lots of places.

I run a lot of classified advertising and my website gets a lot of hits every day.
Some of the responses I get are appallingly written.
Not typos.
The poor use of the English language and the spelling are sad comments on the educational system.

One that gets me all the time is "loosing" for "losing."

I am "loosing" money on the deal.

The most common error I see is the misuse of "its" and "it's". Nearly everyone gets it wrong.

I've even seen its' used on occasion, which isn't even in the English language. Not sure why this causes so many problems.

Doesn't matter, as long as the actual meaning is left in tack.

My brother's name is Sell.

So when I have a card For Sell, I only have it for a sort time, until I see my brother.

Had a coworker that used the word "bases" instead of "basis" when I worked in the office. That really used to get under my skin. So glad I work from home!
