Ouch!

Yeah, machine signed just like the Dodgers ball.

These are a dime a dozen and pretty worthless.

These vintage facsimilie balls are not totally worthless. They sometimes trade between $25 and $50.

I agree with Chris. A 1948 Indians facsimile ball sells in the $75 range, and they do sell. Granted that's a championship year, but even the Indians versions from the 1950s and early '60s sell in the price range Chris quoted. I pick them up when I see them because I know what they are, facsimiles, and don't have to fret about all the possible things that could be wrong with a (real) autographed ball. But that's coming from someone who's never had much of a collecting interest in autographs.

I have a really strange facsimile baseball - It's on a Rawlings official ball and has signatures of Mickey Mantle, Tim McCarver, Billy Williams, Tony Conigliaro, Brooks Robinson, Willie Stargell, Jim Lefebvre, and Rick ???(Can't make out the last name). I'll try and post a pic when I have time. Anyone know what the significance of all those names together would be?

I believe, without seeing the ball, the name in question is: Rick Reichardt. I think it came out in 1968. I have seen that ball before and I do not know what all those players have in common either.

Yep, Reichardt. Thanks. Interesting that you've seen this one too...a very odd baseball.
