Default 1992 Donruss missing red ink on back?

Can't seem to find out anything about them? Does anyone have any w/ red ink missing on back?

I have 4 different cards, all in the high 300's. Are they rare??

Here are 2 of them:

Yes, rare for sure. But they are print flaws and probably not desirable to most outside of the player collectors for the guys you have. Cool cards!

Probably not related, but I wonder if there's a connection between these and the David Wells variation where on one version "CAREER HIGHLIGHTS" is printed in black rather than the correct red.

Like I say, probably not because the Wells card isn't simply missing that red type, it is actually replaced with black.

When missing yellow and/or red colors are observed, many times sun fading is involved.

This is my go to when missing red or yellow. In hand it is fairly easy to tell if they are really missing ink under magnification.

If pack pulled and real they have little value unless it is a super star player. Best bet is to put them on eBay with an outrageous price and see if someone bites.

Appreciate all comments!

I am 99.9% certain these cards have never seen sunshine and came directly from packs to my storage. Side by side w/ a normal card, there is no evidence of sun fading in any way, to me!

The black seems darker on the missing ink cards. I don't know if that means anything.

Everything on the back seems just a bit lighter on the redless cards--notice the blue is weaker also!

I would offer a whopping $2 for anyone of them shipped. That is just the card put in a PWE with no frills.

Several years ago, here or possible on the CU forums, someone had posted a bunch of 1992 Donruss proof cards, which had different write-ups and text orientation and missing colors, I believe. Very interesting stuff. I can't seem to locate the thread but this reminds me a bit of these, especially the David Wells variation type.
